Killeen vet and military spouse uses creativity to ease emotional wounds from mobilization

KILLEEN - Stephanie Preciado deployed to Kuwait in 2013 with the Army National Guard and came home with some nagging mental and physical challenges that still follow her to this day. The Houston, Texas, native now living in Killeen struggled quite a bit for a while but has found an outlet that is helping her heal.

"That was with Operation Enduring Freedom," Preciado said. "We got mobilized for one year, and three months of training happened at North Fort Hood, then we deployed for nine months."
